25 September 2019 – UTB received a visit from Bitmain Technologies Ltd (Bitmain), a privately owned company headquartered in Beijing, China. The meeting was held at the Main Conference Room of the University.
The delegation was led by the Founder of Bitmain, Mr Wu Jihan. The delegates met with the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Yang Mulia Dr. Hajah Noor Maya binti Haji Md Salleh and Principal Officers of UTB.
The meeting discussed about the potential partnerships between both parties in providing internships for the students, research and other potential collaborations.
Bitmain was founded in 2013 and has research developments centers in Hong Kong, Singapore and United States. Bitmain is a multinational semiconductor company with state-of-the-art IC design capabilities. Bitmain offers products, including chips, servers, and cloud solutions, for blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
