UTB AVC receives Teachers’ Day Award

29 September 2016 - Dr Hajah Noor Maya binti Haji Md Salleh, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Universiti Teknologi Brunei, received the Teachers' Day 2016 Special Mention Award from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Teachers' Day Celebration event held at the International Convention Centre. Dr Hajah Noor Maya's specialist area is in Change Management. She was formerly the Dean of the UTB School of Business and has more than 20 years of teaching experience in UTB. She was also the first recipient of the UTB Staff Excellence Award under the Teaching Excellence category, when the award was first introduced by the University in 2015.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam also consented to visit the Teachers' Day Exhibition where UTB showcased the 'Twitter Sentiment Analysis' project that won the Special Award for Emerging Technology at BICTA 2016.
