26 March 2021 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Military Cadets marked its golden jubilee with a parade at the Training Institute RBAF in Penanjong Garrison.
Present as Guest of Honour was Major General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, Commander of RBAF. Also present at the event was Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB.
The parade saw the involvement of 250 military cadets comprising Cadet Force Officers (CFO), supervising teachers, and cadets from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) along with other Higher Education Institutions and secondary schools.
The parade was accompanied with combined bands from RBAF Band, the Pipes and Drums Platoon of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), RBMRR Band and RBAF Military Cadet Band Team.
Themed ‘Youth Readiness in Realising National Vision’, the RBAF Military Cadet aimed to be the active driving agent that serves to strengthen solidarity, patriotism and nationhood of the youth and instill loyalty towards the monarch, religion and nation.
