10 December 2020 – Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Tashkent Institute of Finance (TIF), have embarked on a partnership initiated with a Virtual Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) connecting the two institutions held in Brunei and Uzbekistan respectively.
Signing on behalf of UTB was the Vice-Chancellor, Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman and representing TIF was the Rector, Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Tulkin Teshabaev.
The event began with a welcoming remark by the Rector of TIF followed by remarks by the Vice-Chancellor of UTB. It then proceeded with a discussion on several potential areas that both UTB and TIF can strategically work together.
Under this agreement, UTB and TIF will explore collaborations in academics, students and staff exchanges, joint research efforts, conferences and webinars in the field of Business.
According to the Dean of UTB-SB, Yang Mulia Dr. Mohamed Saleem bin Haja Nazmudeen, who was also present at the event, this will involve global classrooms and long-term exchange programmes for faculty members from both parties, not only in financial and economic fields but also in the field of IT and digital technologies through joint innovative projects.
Tashkent Institute of Finance (TIF) is one of the leading universities in Uzbekistan located in the center of Tashkent. The institution offers various pre-university programmes up to postgraduate programmes in the areas of finance, banking, accounting and economics.
