12 October 2019 – About 50 delegates from Technical, Knowledge and Culture Exchange Programme (TKCEP) 2019 visited UTB to gain invaluable insights about UTB which was organised by Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia and Kolej Komuniti (KK) Beaufort.
The delegates comprised of directors, staff and students from KK in Malaysia namely KK Semporna, KK Kota Mardu, KK Tawau, KK Pasir Mas, KK Temerloh, KK Kok Lanas, KK Besut, KK Beaufort, KK Tambunan, KK Sandakan, KK Baling, and a college from Thailand, Sungaikolok Industrial and Community College. The delegation was led by the Director of KK Beaufort, Yang Mulia Muhammad Sani bin Che Idris.
The delegation was welcomed by the International and Public Relations Office (IPRO) of the University and an introductory presentation of UTB was presented by the Deputy Director of IPRO, Yang Mulia Dayang Siti Noorfatimah binti Hj Awang Safar @ Hj Sapar. The visit then proceeded with a campus tour to Electrical and Electronic Engineering Labs, Materials Testing Centre (MTC), and Eco-Marathon Lab. Presentation and interactive activities were also organised by the Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme area representatives.
The visit aimed to boost skills and knowledge among the staff and students through exchange programme in the field of engineering, and to understand the culture and customs within ASEAN countries including Brunei.
