3 October 2019 – THIRTY participants from the 6th Singapore-Brunei Youth Leadership Exchange programme (SBYLEP) 2019 from Singapore and Brunei visited Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) for an interactive session that is centered around the theme Pioneering Industry and Technology Towards IR4. The event was held at the Lecture Theatre 2, Library Complex, UTB. The event was co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; Community and Youth, Republic of Singapore; and UTB.
The event commenced with an introductory presentation of the University delivered by Yang Mulia Siti Noorfatimah binti Hj Awg Safar @Hj Sapar, Deputy Directory of International and Public Relations Office followed by a welcoming remark from Yang Mulia Awangku Muhammad Wafiy bin Pengiran Haji Amir Isa, President of UTB Student Representative Council (MPPUTB) Session 2019/2020. After the introduction, the young leaders interacted with the student councils with some ice-breaking activities.
The participants then proceeded to the University’s Library to view various innovative projects comprised of technology, food, games and robotics. The projects were showcased by students and graduates from UTB School of Business; School of Computing and Informatics; Faculty of Engineering; and School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics. The young leaders showed their interest and interacted with the project presenters and gave their feedback on the projects.
