26 August 2017 – The Career Guidance Unit under the Student Affairs Office held a talk on public speaking titled ‘Public Speaking Without Fear’ conducted by Associate Professor Dr Norihan Abu Hassan from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Perdana School of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy. Associate Professor Dr Norihan is also a Locum Tenant in UTB, under the Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning (CCTL).
The objective of the talk was to boost self-confidence of student in speaking in front of an audience, and to provide public speaking skills concept that can be applied on presentations and interviews. A total of 75 students consisting of HND, Degree, and final year students as well as graduates who are seeking for job opportunities attended the talk.
