13 March 2021 – Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) through its Career Guidance Unit of the Student Affairs Office in collaboration with JobCentre Brunei (JCB) organised a one-day Career Talk and Showcase at the Lecture Theatre 2, Library Complex at the University.
At the event, the students and graduates had the opportunity to engage directly with potential employers and receive first-hand information on actual working environments; better understanding of the company and its operations; and the required skills to perform some specific jobs; and available vacancies.
Among the participating organisations include JobCentre Brunei (JCB), Manpower Planning and Employment Council (MPEC) Secretariat, Unified National Network (UNN), Muara Maritime Services Sdn Bhd, and Amec Foster Wheeler Sdn Bhd. JCB and MPEC also showcased their career exhibit at the event.
This yearly event is hoped to expose UTB students and graduates with industrial exposure, opportunities to make connections with potential employers, mentors and peers where they can discuss their talents, skills, experience and education background preparing them for the real-world.
