UTB launch Zika Awareness and Cleaning Campaign

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held a cleaning campaign and launching of the Zika Awareness today at the University’s campus. The purpose of the event was to create awareness of the Zika Virus and to identify potential mosquitoes breeding ground within the campus. It is also hoped that this initiative will inculcate the culture of cleanliness amongst staff and students of the University.

The event was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Associate Professor Dr Hjh Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman. The event was jointly organized by the Health, Safety & Environment Unit (HSE) and the Student Representative Council of UTB.

In conjunction with the Zika Awareness initiatives, other activities that include talks, community outreach programme, and photography competition will also be organized.
At the same time, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is also organizing a similar event.
