30 July 2020 – Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) received a courtesy visit from Yang Mulia Dr. Ceri M. Powell, Managing Director of Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) at the Visitor’s Room of the University.
Dr. Ceri M. Powell was welcomed by Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Dr. Hjh Noor Maya binti Hj Md Salleh, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic); Yang Mulia Awang Hj Ady Syarmin bin Hj Md Taib, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Services); Yang Mulia Dayang Elizah binti Radin Mas Ismail, Deputy Registrar (Academic); and Yang Mulia Professor Stephen Tyson, Chair Professor in Petroleum Engineering.
During the courtesy visit, UTB bids farewell to Dr Ceri M. Powell who has been working as Managing Director of BSP since March 2017. She was also appointed Country Chair for Shell companies in Brunei upholding the highest standards of business integrity.
UTB recently signed a research contract with BSP for the provision of numerical sand screen modelling and facilities on April 2020, both parties also have signed the supplemental agreement in 2018 continuing their relationship in supporting research and development, education and the application of knowledge to enhance the technological capabilities of Brunei’s oil and gas sector.
