16 November 2019 – In commemoration of the Maulidur Rasul, a religious talk was held at the Lecture Theatre 2, UTB. The event was jointly organised by the Religious Unit, Student Affairs Office and UTB Student Representative Council (MPPUTB).
Present as the Guest of Honour was the Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib. Also in attendance at the ceremony were principal officers, staff and students.
The ceremony began with recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a mass Salawat by UTB students. The religious talk was on Meneladani Muamalat Rasul Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam by the guest speaker, Yang Mulia Ustazah Norhayati binti Haji Abd Rahman, Assistant Development of Religion Officer, Pusat Dakwah Islamiah.
During the talk, Ustazah highlighted the exemplary business practices set by Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. and to emulate those practices in our dealings in doing businesses. In addition, Ustazah also enlightened the meaning and purpose of Maulidur Rasul where she encouraged Muslims to do salawat for Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. at all times.
