22 August 2019 – FOUR Japanese exchange students from Osaka University (OU) visited UTB for two days to enhance collaboration and to strengthen international relationship between OU and UTB.
The students attended a lecture on sustainable energy on 20 August 2019. The students also had the opportunity to visit Brunei LNG, Lumut and Tenaga Suria in Seria. The objective of the site visit is to give them first-hand experience on sustainable energy generation in Brunei Darussalam.
The visit is under the sponsorship of the Japanese Student Services Organisation (JASSO). The objectives of the visit were to expose the students to Sustainable Development Goals such as SDG:05 Gender Equality, SDG09: Sustainable Infrastructure and SDG07: Affordable and Clean Energy.
They arrived in Brunei since in early August 2019 and will be staying in the country for a month. They also visited other universities in the country.
