27 July 2019 – The Orientation Week was concluded with Amazing Race and Cheer Battle for the Activity Team day that was held at the campus. The event was hosted by the Student Affairs Office and Student Representative Council (MPPUTB).
The event started with a warm-up session followed by the Amazing Race. The teams were divided into their designated house colour which comprised of Team Excel (Yellow), Team Xlr8 (Blue), Team Proxtiv (Purple) and Team Crtiv (Grey). The goal was for the teams to foster teamwork by competing in a series of mental and physical challenges. It was also an opportunity for them to familiarise their new surroundings by venturing around the University compound. In total, the teams completed 15 types of games at each stop including: Running Tic-Tac-Toe, Push Ups, Sit Ups, Jumping Jacks, Squats, Hit the Target, Floor is Lava, 100 Bottles, Shuttle Runs, Lunges, Perfect Square, Skipping, Duct Tape Race, Relay Race and Stranded.
The Cheer Battle is where four teams competed by creating the most creative cheers and chants. The battle took place at the Engineering Block of the University.
The event ended with a prize presentation to the winning teams of the Amazing Race and Cheer Battle. The winner of the Amazing Race was Team Proxtiv and the trophy was presented by Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Shah @ Muhammad Lutfi Hadi bin Haji Asmat, ECA Officer. Meanwhile Team Crtiv cheered their way to victory by receiving the highest points from the judges. The prize for the Cheer Battle was presented by Yang Mulia Dayangku Ida Nurul-Fitri binti Pengiran Haji Kahar, Dean of Student Affairs Office presented the trophy to the team leader of Team Crtiv.
