19 April 2019 – The handover of the UTB Campus L.E.A.D. (Leader, Entrepreneur, Active, and Dynamic) for 2019/2020 session ceremony took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall, UTB. The event was organised by the Executive Committee Student Representative of Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar Universiti Teknologi Brunei (MPPUTB).
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dk Ida Nurul Fitri binti Pg Hj Kahar, Dean of Student Affairs of UTB. Also present were the officers of Student Affairs; members of the Campus L.E.A.D. Session 2018/2019; and newly appointed members of Session 2019/2020.
The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a speech from The Head of Executive Committee (ExCo) Student Representative, Yang Mulia Dayang Masturina Rasyiqah Madani. This was followed by remarks from the Guest of Honour.
Yang Mulia Dayang Masturina in her speech highlighted that Campus L.E.A.D. should engage with not only students from their respective faculty or school, but with each and every individuals in UTB. She also added that students should be actively involved in any activities conducted.
The Guest of Honour then presented the certificates of appreciation to the former members for their utmost contribution throughout their service and appointment letters to the newly appointed members.
Campus L.E.A.D. was first established in 2016. It has been under the care of ExCo Student Representative ever since then. It focuses more on the students department by department and this enables the students to voice out their concerns and suggestions more effectively. Campus L.E.A.D. encourages the students to be more active in not just academic-oriented activities but in extracurricular activities as well.
