27 February 2019 – A talk on Brunei Climate Change Position that was held at Lecture Theatre 2, UTB was presented by Yang Mulia Puan Dayang Marlina @Diana binti Haji Japar, Climate Change Secretariat at Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry (MEMI). The lecture was organised by the Mechanical Engineering Programme area, Faculty of Engineering (FEng).
The lecture was attended by the Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Ena Kartina binti Haji Abd Rahman, lecturers and students from the faculty.
Puan Dayang Marlina highlighted on the need to reduce carbon emissions in Brunei. She stated that people living in residential area also contributes to carbon emission everyday and therefore it is urged that the residents play a part in helping to reduce the emission by using electricity prudently.
