23 November 2018 – UNIVERSITI Teknologi Brunei (UTB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), in Suwon, Korea. The Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Professor Dr Dayang Hjh Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman signed on behalf of UTB, while SKKU was represented by Professor Dr Ji-Beom Yoo, Executive Vice-President of Natural Sciences Campus. Professor Dr Dayang Hjh Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman was in South Korea for 3 days to attend the QS-APPLE 2018 Conference and Exhibition.
Under this MoU, UTB and SKKU will work together to establish a basis of cooperation and collaboration, as well as, working relationship in the fields of research, education, and in training programmes of mutual interest. This includes the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students; exchange of academics; joint research; conferences and seminars.
SKKU is an established university, ranked 82 in Times Higher World Ranking and 100 in QS World Ranking. The university offers academic programmes and research in the areas of Science and Engineering, Business, Economics, Information & Communication, Software, Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
UTB is continuing its effort to offer various opportunities and to establish a global curriculum for their students through relationships with their stakeholders from the industry and higher education institutions, as well as, to provide solutions to contemporary issues facing the industry and society through translational research.
