Thursday, 12 July 2018 – The Closing ceremony for the 8th Student Leadership & Development Programme (SLDP) was held today at the Lecture Theatre 2, Universiti Teknologi Brunei. The annual programme was organised by the EXCO Leadership Development & Mentor Executive Committees, one of the 11 Executives Committees (EXCO) under the Student Representative Council of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (MPP).
Present to award the certificates of participation was the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Services), Awang Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib. A total of 20 participants which comprises of students from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPUSB), Politeknik Brunei (PK), Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan (MSPSBS) and students who had recently finished their ‘A’ Level.
The programme was held for 4 days and 3 nights at Universiti Teknologi Brunei and Berakas Forest Reserves Recreational park. The SLDP Programme is intended to become a platform for character development and to inspire youths to become more proactive and brave to begin with into their strength. It is also a platform where they will uncover their potential in which they may have not discovered themselves before especially in building their future and career prospects.
