26 March 2018 – UTB participated in the recent Sin Chew Education Fair 2018. The tour exhibition was hosted by Sin Chew Daily and Sin Chew Electronics. The exhibition features a tour around the major cities in West Malaysia. More than 20 educational institutions participated in the fair. This included Malaysia’s public and private universities and also the three major universities from Brunei; UTB, UBD and UNISSA. The objective of the fair is to contribute to the field of education as a meeting point and place between students and educational institutions from the country and abroad on top of providing an avenue to provide a direct and effective way to communicate educational programmes on offer.
The Education Fair Tour was held from 9 until 16 March. UTB exhibited in three cities; Kuching, Miri and Kota Kinabalu. The first stop was held in Kuching on 9 March at Pullman Hotel, it was then followed by Miri at the Grand Palace Hotel on the 12 March. The last stop for the exhibition was at Horizon Hotel in Kota Kinabalu held on March 15.
The fair features a wide range of routes to higher education and also highlight opportunities on lifelong learning. The visitors were also able to meet a wide selection of colleges and universities representatives to get detailed information about the courses they’re interested in.
