05 September 2017 - Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) commemorated Aidil Adha with a Korban Ceremony held at the university’s Concourse area. The Ugama Unit, Student Affairs and UTB Students Representative Council jointly organised this annual event.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a mass takbir, and a special religious talk entitled Benerfits of Ibadah Korban to individuals, community and family delivered by Ustaz Isham bin Haji Ismail, invited speaker from the Islamic Da’wah Center.
The ceremony was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Professor Dr Hjh Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, who presented the Korban meat portions to UTB students, and asnaf fakir recipients. Also in attendance were Principal Officers, Senior Officers, Staff, and Students of the University.
