UTB Raises the National Flag

A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) campus today in conjunction with the start of the country’s 33rd National Day celebrations. The Guest of Honour at the event was Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, the Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Also in attendance were the University’s Principal Officers, lecturers, staff and students.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Md Fazalley Bin Hj Hidup. The ceremony then proceeded with the handing over of the national flag by the Guest of Honour to 92071 SGT KT Muhammad Amir Saefullah bin Haji Meraj. The flag was then hoisted ceremoniously by members of the UTB Army Cadet, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem by all present. Attendees also sang the patriotic song ‘Kibarkanlah Bendera’ in unison.
